Our response to the draft National Planning Policy Framework consultation

The National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) is the safeguard that allows communities to object to factory farms in their local areas. The government’s revised NPPF would take power away from communities and give conglomerates a green light to build more factory farms. It would materially enable the expansion of factory farms, in direct conflict with the government's statutory commitments on climate, nature recovery, clean air, and water quality.
