Downton Fish Farm
Intensive Fish Farm, Wiltshire
The planning application for this intensive fish farm in Wiltshire was approved in May 2026. According to the application, the proposal was for a canopy over the existing fish ponds. In reality, it is a crucial step in converting the site into the UK’s largest onshore salmon farm - with severe consequences for animal welfare and the environment.
